PLC Controlled Pneumatics Training

Program Objectives

  1. Explain the functions of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC-FST-404).
  2. Establish PLC input/output signals within pneumatic systems.
  3. Program input/output signals on the PLC according to the given process.
  4. Better manage signal flows from PLC to system and vice versa.
  5. Easily and quickly detect faults in PLC-controlled pneumatic systems.
  6. Use a common technical language with electrical and electronics teams.

Topics Covered

  • What is a PLC? PLC logic
  • Programming with LADDER diagrams
  • Addressing (=FLAG), INPUTS, OUTPUTS, Timers, Counters (CW, CP, TW, TP, etc.) parameter usage
  • Programming and creating subprograms
  • Setting up example systems
  • Evaluating feedback signals from example systems
  • Fault finding methods
